Digitized Indexes to Maps

The availability of visual depictions of what is included in a map collection is especially important in this type of library item. Government Document and Maps at Waldo Library is embarking on a project of digitizing indexes to some of the most prominent collections of maps that will be linked to the libraries' online catalog, WestCat. It is essential for accessibility and usability that these map indexes tell their information visually. Examples of those being digitized; A.G.S. Map Indexes of Europe from the 1950’s, A.G.S. Map Indexes of Mexico.
