Handwritten History

Most of the history of the1800s is 'locked' in handwritten diaries, logbooks, social club minutes, etc, We are exploring ways to have full text searchable collections online. But not just the typed text. We desire our researchers to have the full experience of seeing the handwritten page, the tone of the paper, and the colored notes written in the margins along with full searchability that gets them directly to that section of the page. Our research here, we hope, will bring a richer experience to online collections.
